Nancy is a Los Angeles native relocated in San Diego California where she opened Portal Salon, an eco-creative space in the heart of Hillcrest.
Nancy began her creative career in design of theater garments at Santa Monica College, CA in 1998. While focused on the aesthetic of wardrobe; hair and cosmetics captivated Nancy the most. She Immediately joined Cosmetology School where she developed an artistic eye for Hair Fashion.
Nancy has been a haircutting specialist and Educator since the take off of her career.
She has worked in high recognized salons in Los Angeles and with various International haircare brands implementing educational programs and sharing her techniques all over the world. She continuously researches and creates cut and color designs by customizing unique, current style trends.
When Nancy is not behind the chair, or in front of a crowd, you will find her inspiring and training new industry associates to improve their skills after beauty school. Her goals and aspirations continue to grow professionally and in her personal life. She truly enjoys sharing her passions and thinks she makes people laugh by telling a good dad joke.
Her creative contributions continue to this very day. She is North America’s Creative Cutting Lead for ASP Expert Haircare, A UK based Brand.
She Joined ASP in 2018, a Global Luxury and Expert haircare company with sustainable and advanced technology which stand by her beliefs, creating and sharing current trends on Cuts and Color year round.
Her personal growth as an artist is always developing with creative photo shoots of models and clients. She uses Portal as her creative studio and collaborates with other artists in the community and beyond.
